Recognition and Acclaim
  • Dr. Kumar enjoys wide recognition and acclaim as a leader and vanguard in the field of Life Sciences. No less than 42 Universities have appointed him examiner of Ph.D. and D.Sc. dissertations. He has the proud distinction of chairing a technical session during the much applauded International Symposium on “Cage Aquaculture in Asia” in China.
     
  • He has been nominated as one of the members in the International Network of scientists for doing research on Environment and Agricultural issue by the Institute of Horticultural Sciences, Berlin, Germany.
     
  • The Jharkhand State Government has nominated him as a Member, Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board, Ranchi.
     
  • He is also a nominee of the Hon’ble Chancellor-cum-Governor of Madhya Pradesh State, to act as an expert, on the Selection Committee to select Reader/Professors for Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
     
  • Dr. Kumar takes keen and concerned interest in the development of the life of the tribes, particularly Santal and Pahariya tribes of Jharkhand. He has established a tribal Eco-Conservation Society of Jharkhand, at Dumka.
     
  • Dr. Kumar started a Research Project with Dr. Hans-Uwe Dahms, Professor of Aquatic Biology in Sangmyung University, Seoul, South Korea in the field of Aquatic Environment Assessments and Aquaculture.
     
  • Prof. Kumar had presided a magnificent meeting of Indian Economic Association in Patna (Bihar) in which Hon’ble Prof. Sukhdeo Thorat, Chairman, U.G.C., New Delhi and almost all Vice-Chancellors and Pro-Vice-Chancellors of Universities of Bihar State were present, besides eminent Indian Economists on 07.03.2010.
